    NO CHARGE

Join other Seattle High School junior students on a
3 - Day sailing expedition from Seattle to Anacortes.
This vessel-based program provides a career connected learning experience into oceanographic research, nautical science, and seamanship aboard the 61-foot sailing research vessel, Carlyn.

The application process has three parts:

    1. A brief (one or two paragraphs is acceptable)
student essay (two questions: 1. How will you use
the leadership and teamwork skills you build on this
trip in your daily life and at school, and 2. What are
you considering as a career, and how will this
course help you as you work towards these goals?)

    2. A very brief recommendation from an adult at
your student’s school (one or two paragraphs or a
    phone call will do)

    3. A brief interview and a maritime skills-related
assessment with Skills Center staff (most likely at
    your home school).

Applications are due by Monday, Mar. 29, 2019
Students will be notified by April 03, 2019
